The Engineering office is charged with fulfilling the technical and operational needs of the civil city by performing the following duties:

• Design and inspection of small public works projects
• Supervision and review of large public works projects
• Maintenance of City records: City maps, traffic inventory, accident map
• Review proposed improvements: plats, subdivisions, permits
• Provide technical expertise to other departments
• Issue and inspect permits for street cuts, driveways, sidewalks
