The Engineering office is charged with fulfilling the technical and operational needs of the civil city by performing the following duties:
- Design and inspection of small public works projects
- Supervision and review of large public works projects
- Maintenance of City records: City maps, traffic inventory, accident map
- Review proposed improvements: plats, subdivisions, permits
- Provide technical expertise to other departments
- Issue and inspect permits for street cuts, driveways, sidewalks
