Come learn to swim the American Red Cross way! Group Swim Lesson registration ends at 12Noon on the Fri. before class session begins on Monday.
Student/Instructor Ratios: Pre-School 6/1, All others 8/1

All classes are 35 minutes long with the following exceptions:
  • Parent/child and Pre-School - 30 minutes
  • Level 6 - 45 minutes

Class Descriptions

Note: Except for Parent/Child Aquatics, Level 1 & Adult Lessons, students must be able to demonstrate all the completion requirements of the previous level or have a certificate from the previous level. All students will be evaluated the first day of class.

Parent/Child Aquatics:
Ages 6 wks.- 3 yrs.
The objective is to help children become comfortable in and around water. A parent/trusted adult must accompany infants/toddlers.
Pre-School: Ages 3-5 yrs. This is a swimming readiness class. Students will explore water environment through games and play.
Levels 1-5 Minimum age is 6 yrs.
Level 1: Intro to Water Skills This class will help children feel comfortable in water and enjoy the water safely.
Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic
Skills
Students will attain success with fundamental skills.
Level 3: Stroke Readiness This class will build on the skills in Level 2 through providing additional guided practice.
Level 4: Stroke Improvement Students will develop confidence in the strokes learned and improve other aquatic skills.
Level 5: Stroke Refinement This class will provide further coordination & refinement of strokes.
Level 6: Swimming & Skill
Proficiency
Strokes are refined so students can swim with ease, efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances. The following options are offered: Personal Water Safety, Lifeguard Readiness, Fundamentals of Diving, & Fitness Swimming. Each option focuses on preparing students to participate in more advanced courses such as Water Safety Instructor & Lifeguard Training. Options are instructor selected and reflect the abilities of the participants.
Diving: Instructional diving
Adult Swimming Lessons
(18-Up)
Customized for each participant.
