All Day Basket Workshop

BasketThis large, oversized, round bucket shaped basket will become one of your favorites. You will learn how to weave a round base, a braided rim and a muffled handle. Weaving experience helpful but beginners are welcome! All weaving supplies will be furnished. Students should bring a pair of scissors, a small screwdriver with a flat blade, and an old towel. If you would like to bring a sack lunch and drinks, we will have access to the kitchen.

Mill Race Players Auditions for: Disney High School Musical

Disney High School Musical
Auditons: May 18 1:00pm (ages 6-12)
    3:00pm (ages 13+)
  May 19 6:00pm (ages 13+)

North Auditorium

Auditioners (ages 13+) should be prepared to sing 30 seconds of a song (pop songs preferred) with accompaniment. A dance audition and readings from the script will occur.

Roles are available for ages 6-60, but the focus of the production will be on people who look high school aged. All ages must sing and dance.

Performances: July 11-13, North Auditorium

Masters Swim/Deep Water Walking

Deep Water Walking for adults will be offered in the diving well from 11am-12:00pm daily (no evening hours). This is a self directed program and participants must provide their own floatation devices.

Masters Swimming is great for fitness and stress relief. Take advantage of lap swimming for adults (18 & over). One-half of the pool is available during swim lessons, three lanes during evening swim. Both programs run from May 24-Aug. 10.

Schedule:

Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun 11 am - 1pm
Tues, Thurs 11 am - 12 noon
Mon, Tues, Thurs 6:45 - 8:30 pm

Your tax-deductible contributions will provide the opportunity for children to participate in programs that they might not otherwise be able to afford. Please support youth in need by making a contribution in any amount to the Columbus Park Foundation's Youth Scholarship Fund and mail to:

Youth Scholarship

The Columbus Park Foundation and the Columbus Parks and Recreation Dept. collaborate to offer full and 50% scholarships for children to participate in Parks and Recreation programs. Eligible children may receive up to three (3) scholarship classes per calendar year, not to exceed a total of $105. Applicants must be a Bartholomew Co. resident. For an application form and additional information, please call the Parks and Recreation office at 376-2680.
