The Awareness sub-committee will handle creating methods to educate the public on becoming an inclusive community. This can include the general public and businesses. The goal of the committee is to identify everyday practices that create barriers and to provide simple solutions to remove such barriers.
The Accessibility Sub-committee will handle all concerns dealing with accessibility. Much of this focus will be around physical space and surroundings. This can include items such as public transit, sidewalks, public events, and public buildings. The goal is to provide equal access and opportunity to all community members. Committee members should take into consideration all types of disabilities.
