Mayor Kristen Brown proclaimed Wednesday, January 2, 2013, as Columbus Snow Force Day to commend the tireless efforts of the City's snowplow operators to clear city streets night and day in winter storms.

Mayor Brown named the hard-working crew the "Columbus Snow Force" for their dedication and tremendous sacrifices during the recent blizzard and subsequent snow storm. The Snow Force worked long hours, had sleepless nights and missed out on holiday celebrations and time with their families to ensure the City's streets were clear and safe for travel.

The Snow Force goes to extraordinary efforts when called to duty, and Mayor Brown commended them for fulfilling their mission.

"We are proud of them and grateful for their dedication, hard work and service," Mayor Brown said.
