A Columbus School Resource Officer was recently selected to represent East Central Indiana as an Indiana School Resource Officer Regional Representative.
Officer Julie Quesenbery, an 11 year veteran of the Columbus Police Department, will assume this duty beginning in January 2017. Quesenbery will be responsible for sharing information about school trends with the 50 officers in her district. She will also continue to assist with officer training.
Columbus Chief of Police Jon Rohde stated, “Officer Quesenbery’s selection to represent the area resource officers is a testament to her hard work and dedication to the youth of our community, and reflects the quality of officers we have on our department.”
Larry Perkinson, Student Services Director for the Bartholomew County Consolidated School Corporation added, “B.C.S.C. is proud of all the effort of our school resource officers. We think they are the best in the nation. Julie's selection is well deserved.”
