The Columbus Park Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, was founded in 1988 to seek, receive and manage funds and resources that will assist with the quality delivery of recreation services in Columbus, Indiana. All contributions to the Columbus Park Foundation are tax deductible and work to improve parks and recreation in our community. With the creation of the Foundation’s Endowment Fund in 2003, the Columbus Park Foundation seeking to raise $1 million endow it’s flagship projects, including youth scholarships for children in need to participate in parks and recreation fee-based activities, expansion and maintenance of parks facilities and amenities, including the Columbus People Trails system, and future projects that will enhance the recreation and enjoyment of the citizens of Columbus, Indiana.
To aid and encourage the Columbus Department of Parks and Recreation in the acquisition, conservation and development of lands for park and recreation purposes; to secure long term financial support, including an endowment fund, for park and recreation projects; and to support and encourage full community participation in recreation programs through scholarships and other resources.

Join us at the Columbus Park Foundation's Tour de Trails events. Our 8K Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk are held April 19 and our Bicycle Challenge featuring 20K, 50K and 75K routes is May 17. All money raised at these events goes towards the maintenance and expansion of the People Trails.
