2014 Ice Show Information
April 25, 26, & 27, 2014
Who can participate?
Any skater who participates in the skating classes.
o Must purchase an ice show costume in January
o Must sign up for the Ice Show class session at the beginning of
March through Columbus Parks & Recreation
Costume sign ups and fittings will be at Hamilton Center January 22, -February 1st, 2014
Costumes are $80
Skaters are grouped by skill level and age (Tots & Basic 1 & 2, Basic 3-5, Basic 6-8, Novice Club, Boys, Adults)
When are the rehearsals?
Classes begin the week of March 4, 2014 (no classes week of March 17-23)
Skaters in Basic 1-8 may come Tuesday and Saturday
Tots, Basic 1 & Basic 2: Tuesday’s at 4:00 & Saturday’s at 12:00
Basic 3,4,5: Tuesday’s at 4:25 and Saturday’s at 12:25
Basic 6,7,8: Tuesday’s at 4:50 and Saturday’s at 12:50
Novice Club: Thursday’s at 4:30
Boys:Thursday’s at 4:00
What are the costumes like?
Our costumes are designed and created by Judy Secrest.
Every skater receives a custom made costume
Skaters are measured for costumes in January (see dates above) and receive their individual costume April 23 or 24.
What happens the week of the show?
On Tuesday, we rehearse the first half (takes usually 45 minutes)
On Wednesday, we rehearse the second half (also 45 minutes)
On Thursday, we have a full dress rehearsal (1.5 hours)
Friday…show time at 7 p.m.
Saturday…we do 2 performances…3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Sunday…one last show at 2 p.m.
