The Personnel Department
is responsible for 540 employees. The department takes applications,
makes job postings, completes interviews and assists other departments with
personnel and productivity issues.

It is the mission of the Personnel Department to recruit, train, support, and retain the most capable and productive City employees, while ensuring fair employment and equal opportunity under the law to all persons, within a conservative budget framework for taxpayers.

Additionally, the Department-
- Maintains personnel files
- Writes policy and administers the Employee Policy Booklet
- Manages the Employee Complaint and Appeal Process
- Maintains Accessibility plan for the City
- Manages complaint and Appeal Process for accessibility issues
- Conduct tours for school children and visiting dignitaries
- Runs the annual United Way campaign for City employees
- Represents the City on the Regional Workforce Development Board
