The city traffic engineer is authorized and empowered to establish and mark with legible signs snow emergency routes on California and Chestnut Streets between Third and Twenty-Fifth Streets, Eleventh Street between Washington and Grand Avenue, Tenth Street between Grand and Central Avenue, Sixteenth Street between Washington and Orinoco Streets, Orinoco Street between Sixteenth and Seventeenth Streets, and Seventeenth Street between Chestnut and Central Avenue; and the mayor of the city is authorized and empowered to declare a snow emergency when circumstances so warrant. Upon the declaration by the mayor of a snow emergency then the prohibitions and penalties set forth in Sections 10.40.030 through 10.40.050 shall become immediately effective. (Ord. 2664 § 6, 1978)
