The definitions described in aforesaid laws, rules and regulations, are made applicable hereto, and are supplemented as follows:

    "Assistant code enforcement officer" means the code enforcement officers, other than the chief code enforcement officer, employed by the department.

    "Building inspector and local building official" means the chief code enforcement officer of the city.

    "Department" means the department of code enforcement of the city.

    "Enforcement authority" means the chief code enforcement officer of the city. The chief code enforcement officer is the chief administrative officer of the office of the department of code enforcement of the city. (Prior code § 5-7)
