2.34.040 Plan commission.
There is created and established an advisory plan commission
to be known as the city plan
commission which shall have such duties and powers as established by Indiana Code, 36-7-4-200
et seq., and such other responsibilities as may be assigned to it from time to time by the common
council. The commission shall consist of eleven members to be appointed as follows:
A. One member by the common council from
its membership;
B. One member to be appointed by the
park board from its membership;
C. One member or designated representative
appointed by the board of public works and
safety;
D. The city engineer or a qualified assistant
appointed by the city engineer;
E. Five citizen members, of whom no more
than three may be of the same political party,
appointed by the mayor. Citizen members so appointed shall reside within the corporate boundaries
of the city;
F. Two citizen members, who may not be
of the same political party, shall be appointed by the
commissioners of Bartholomew County, Indiana. Citizen members so appointed shall reside outside
the corporate limits of the city but within the jurisdiction of the plan commission. (Prior code §
