Local Woman Arrested on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

A local woman is in custody on several drug charges as a result of a traffic stop made early Sunday morning.  At approximately 4:00 a.m., Columbus Police Officer Travis Harbaugh stopped a silver passenger car near 11th Street and Chestnut Street due to a vehicle equipment violation.  While speaking with the driver, Kimberly D. Callahan, 33, Harbaugh could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  Officers searched the vehicle a short time later and allegedly located marijuana, glass smoking pipes with drug residue as well as methamphetamine.  Callahan was taken into custody and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

Possession of Marijuana

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Possession of Methamphetamine
