2019 City Overlay
As part of the 2019 Overlay project, Milestone Contractor, L.P. crews will begin patching the following streets, in this order. The patching work is expected to last approximately 2 weeks, weather permitting. Crews will then return to mill the pavement and then again for the final pavement overlay. Work for the Overlay project is a three-step process, with periods of time when there will be no work activity on the streets.

2019 Community Crossing Grant
Dave O’Mara Contractor, L.P. will be starting the 2019 Community Crossing Grant Project, which will include improvements at the following locations.
- 8th Street from Lafayette Avenue to Maple Street Crews will begin with ramp reconstruction on 8th Street from Lafayette Street to Maple Street. Ramp work at this location should last approximately 3 weeks, weather permitting.
- 10th Street from McClure Road to 500ft East of Whitfield Drive Included in the project will new ramps, curb and gutter, concrete center islands east of Marr Road to Whitfield Drive. Lanes will be restricted from McClure Road to Whitfield Drive. After concrete work is complete, the contractor will begin milling and paving operations.
- Gladstone Avenue from 10th Street to 250ft North of State Street (SR46)
- Central Avenue from 25th Street to 675ft South of US31. Included in the project will be curb replacement, full depth asphalt patching, milling and paving.
2019 Accessible Ramp Project
All Star Paving will begin the 2019 Accessible Ramp Project. They will be replacing 137 ramps around town, beginning with Lockerbie Drive. As part of the project, the contractor will reconstruct 9th Street from Franklin Street to the North South alley between Franklin Street and Lafayette Avenue.
There will be three companies with crews working around Columbus on these various improvement projects. Please be patient, reduce speeds and use extra caution while in these work zones. Please follow construction signage, obey flag personnel and follow posted “No Parking” signs.
